Ponoko

I ordered laser cut out people of acrylic from a company called Ponoko based in New Zealand a few weeks ago.  I finally got my order and these are just two pictures of my order I took quickly.  I will take more pictures later that are of a better detail and clearer image.

The top image is the actual objects/people that I will turn into pins.  

The bottom image is the sheet material which they were cut out of, the brown is a sticker type material covering the black and white acrylic.

Taking away the trash on a rainy day

This morning the trash men came to take away the mountain of trash in our front lawn.  The first truck they had was too full for all of our junk, then a second truck came and still nothing happened.  finally a third truck came and they got to work.  After they took most of our stuff I noticed that a metal futon frame, metal chair frames, a barbeque, and a table metal frame were still left outside.  Maybe they will come back for those large metal objects separately so they can recycle them, or I hope so.  They even had gone through the trouble to separate wood from the metal table frame.  I couldn't stay to see what would happen next because I had to go to class.. but we'll see later today!

This week and last week have been clean up time for New Paltz.  Lots of treasures and trash have been put outside of everyones house.  Ryan and I went around on the weekend looking for treasures and we actually found some cool things.  He found a sweet bag for his ski's and I found some teacups with matching plates and saucers.  We also found a really nice and comfy love seat which is currently in Ryans room until we move into our new apt. 

We also put things out of our current house.. which was full of gross soggy old things.  Things that have been in the basement forever and which have been flooded numerous times.  Lots of the junk we put outside are from other people who used to live in the house.. so much stuff was left for us when we moved in.  We have cleaned out a lot of it and it is nice to finally have it gone even thought I will be leaving this house in a month.  On Saturday I also cut down vines that were growing onto and taking over the house, that was fun even though I got a lot of scratches.  

All of the stuff outside on our lawn is not useable, it is all junk.  Pure and simple annoying junk.

Study

So when I try to study for a test.. my cat Bogey tries to get in the way.

But he's so cute how could I just push him away..
