These are the first three copper bowls that I have ever raised by hand. I know these might look like simple bowls but being that it was my first time I was nervous to try anything too crazy. Each has a brass rim on the top that creates a nice color contrast. I enjoy them very much as a set of three and hope that others do as well.
Even though this current semester I am not taking a forming class I might continue to try and raise bowls if I have the time. I would really like to get better at this technique, but finding time to do things is always hard for me. Besides I am now in a stone setting class and who knows that stress that will bring. A new skill that I should really pick up and perfect is time management.
